In our previous article we commented on the myth of viruses on Smart TVs , but there is actually a so more important issue to consider if we have children with access to a Smart TVs, because the content to which they may be exposed can be harmful if we do not control it, studies show that about 50% of children use the network without adult supervision.

In this article we want to show you some tips that can help you control the content that our children can consume through a TV or any device that has an internet connection.

#1. The easiest way to control the content that our children see is through parental control applications such as Circle, Koala Safe among others. These, in addition to controlling content, allow you to set online time limits.

#2. The children’s room is not the best option to place a Smart TV, for two main reasons: 1) They can hit them while they are playing, 2) You cannot control what they are watching without your supervision. It is clear that today’s children know more about technology than their parents, so playing any content on the big screen would not be a challenge for them.

#3. Talk to them about the dangers on the web, always advise them that they should not provide personal information on any web portal, much less talk to strangers in online chats.

Technology is a tool that, if you don’t know how to manage or control it, can be destructive.
